West Coast Online
Eudora for Macintosh Setup

Step 1: Start.
To begin the setup process, you need to already have Eudora installed. Run the Eudora program like you would any other, and you should get a screen like the one below. From this screen select Special and then Settings as depicted below.
Screen 1

Step 2: The Getting Started Section.
Screen 2 From the main screen you'll be placed in the Getting Started section of Setup. All that needs to be done in this screen is to fill in the appropriate information where the program asks.

For the POP account, type in your login name and append an @mail.wco.com to the end. For example, if your login name was bobk you would enter bobk@mail.wco.com for the POP account. Make sure that you use all lower case when you type in the POP account.

Next type in your real name in the space provided. Finally, for most users setting the Connection Method to Winsock (Network, PPP, SLIP) is the best option.

When you're done here, click on the Personal Info icon off to the left to move to the next section.

Step 3: The Personal Info Section.

Screen 3 The first two settings, POP Account and Real name, should already be filled in from the previous screen. In the Return Address type in your login name, again in all lower case with an @wco.com on the end. Using our previous example of bobk, we would type in bobk@wco.com for the Return address. If you're using a domain name with your West Coast Online account, here is where you would want to enter your user@your-domain.com as the return address. Eudora will use this as the reply address instead of the login@wco.com.

For Dialup username just type in your login name in all lower case. This time, you need to leave off the @wco.com.

Step 4: The Hosts Section.

Screen 4On the Hosts screen, the only thing that needs to be filled in is the SMTP field. Type in mail.wco.com here. When that's done, click on the OK button at the bottom of the screen and you're done with the Eudora Setup.
